THE WORKPLACE WELLBEING DEFICIT

Rebuilding wellbeing for employers and service providers with intersectional insights and strategic solutions.

THE CRISIS, THE CAUSE AND THE CURE OF
THE WORKPLACE WELLBEING DEFICIT

The modern workplace is at a crossroads. The challenges of recent years, from the pandemic, economic and technological upheavals, to shifting employee expectations, and social and cultural conflicts, have forced workplaces to confront uncomfortable truths and deepen their understanding of workplace wellbeing.

These uncomfortable truths have revealed the critical, yet often overlooked reality: we are facing a global workplace wellbeing deficit. By deficit, we mean that the UK is in a state of crisis when it comes to wellbeing and the data across workplace absence, presenteeism, cost, and days lost continues to rise.

In collaboration with HumanOS – a 360° health optimisation platform, we produced the Workplace Wellbeing Deficit Report. We teamed up because we both observed an increase in the complexity of how wellbeing challenges were emerging in workplaces and a decline in the practices, infrastructure and confidence of workplaces to navigate them, in a meaningful and strategic way.

WHY THIS REPORT IS A ‘MUST’ READ

Unlike many traditional wellbeing research reports or surveys that stop at surface-level sentiment, the Workplace Wellbeing Deficit Report combines behavioural data, organisational analysis, and lived employee experiences across a broad range of intersectional identities and demographics to uncover the root causes of the UK’s workplace wellbeing deficit.

The report is a strategic tool for employers and service providers who want to reduce their workplace wellbeing deficit and create lasting cultural change.

WHAT THIS REPORT OFFERS

  • A deep understanding of the challenges that workplaces and people face through an intersectional lens
  • Provides a historical assessment of the causes and cost of the workplace wellbeing deficit
  • Gives actionable solutions for executives, HR, managers, employees and EAP providers, that are clear and purposeful for workplaces, and the leaders and stakeholders within them.

If employers and service providers are serious about understanding and reducing their workplace wellbeing deficit, as well as tackling burnout, boosting retention, and building a resilient workforce, this report is their blueprint. Backed by real data and actionable insights, it details exactly what is driving the UK’s workplace wellbeing deficit, and how to fix it, across every level of a workplace.

Do not just measure wellbeing. Transform it.
